Nene Valley Railway is not just a day out at Ferry Meadows for the kids but a lovely steam train ride to Wansford. Enjoy a glorious steam traim journey and have a great pub lunch at the Cross Keys or the Paper Mills Restaurant.
Cambridge is an ideal destination for a day trip from Stamford. Only 1 hour by car, Cambridge is one of the most culturally-rich cities in Europe.
Whilst staying in Stamford and enjoying the cultural and historic surrounding of middle England, there’s nothing stopping you from taking a day trip to London during your stay.
The nearest beach to Stamford is Heacham Beach, with both North and South Beach overlooking the huge bay.
