Dog Friendly Places to Stay

We Are Dog Friendly

We know that your dog is an important member of your family who you want to share your holiday with.

Dogs are welcome at all three of our houses and there are some great walks near to us. The town itself is great for a wander with the dogs on leads and can incorporate a trip to the “meadows” which stretches a long way through fields and meadows. You can walk all the way to Wothorpe House on the footpaths and Burghley House, only a mile from our houses, has delightful grounds for dog walking.

There are many surrounding villages in the Stamford area and into Rutland, where there are situated some lovely villages with ‘dog friendly’ pubs to match.

Doggy Rules

Although most of the below is common sense, we do have a few requests when bringing your four legged friend………

  • Please do not allow your dog to jump on the beds, from experience having white linen and muddy paws are not a good combination!
  • Please ensure any mess created by your dog is cleared up immediately with a poo bag. We also have guests staying who do not have dogs and there is nothing worse than finding an unwanted present in the garden.
  • Please keep dogs on a lead around the car park and in the courtyard.
  • Please do not leave your dogs unattended in the houses as they may bark and disturb our neighbours.
