“From the beautiful accommodation to the fantastic hospitality from Ann (who really did put herself out for my family and go the extra mile), I would highly recommend Meadow House for a short stay/weekend break. We’ve been regular customers having stayed in the Coach House for the last couple of years for our annual family break. Last year Ann suggested the newly renovated Meadow House might suit my 84 year old dad better, so we booked for June this year.

Unfortunately, my dad had been very unwell leading up to our trip. He’s been unable to sleep in bed and was using a reclining chair. Looking highly unlikely that we’d be able to make our trip I spoke to Ann, who said she’d been meaning to purchase a new chair and this would prompt her to do so as she wanted us to be able to come. Ann kept her promise and even called me to look at the chair to check it was ok before she purchased! Thankfully dad’s health improved and he was able to sleep in bed, but he still made full use of the recliner during our stay!

As to the house and accommodation – it’s lovely. Very tastefully decorated and the beds are super comfy. The location is ideal for town. You’re within touching distance for main shops, pubs and restaurants yet the location is tucked away and in very peaceful and tranquil area. Views from the house are stunning. We’d highly recommend Meadow House for a peaceful and relaxing weekend retreat.”

Garden House Reviews

“With family still living in Stamford it was lovely to stay here for a few days and visit family. To those not familiar with Stamford I would say Welcome and don’t forget to look up at the roofline as you walk around. Lovely few days, visited Rutland water (Normanton), the Wheatsheaf at Edith Weston for a lovely pub lunch, a potter around town & Burghley park. Thanks to Ann and Jackie for their help in making my mum’s 80th celebrations go with a swing & for opening up The Garden house gardens for a wonderful evening. Turns out she lived in The Garden House many years ago and I never knew! Thank you.”

“Lovely house for a short weekend meeting up with dear friends who have known each other for 47 years, and another who lives in Easton Weston. Great walks to be had and a lovely town to explore. You were right about Zadas, the Turkish restaurant for a table out. Very tasty. Warm, comfortable and all essentials in the house.”

“Lovely house, with plenty of space including outdoors. The kitchen is well equipped, with tea and coffee provided, and everything is clean and comfortable. The location is quiet yet only a few minutes walk from the town centre and Burghley Park, and private parking is available. Had a super stay, would definitely recommend.”

“This is our 2nd time visiting to this lovely spacious Coach House. Every year myself, sisters & Dad make a trip from Essex to this area to trace in the footsteps of our ancestors who lived in the Stibbington & Wood Newton villages in the surrounding areas. This has been a great base for our ‘Annual Pilgrimage 😊’ Thank you Ann for all the trouble you have gone to switching our days at this difficult time. Thanks to Jackie too for her warm welcome. Looking forward to visiting next year- dates already in the diary!”
